Considering demonizing brown people was literally most of the propaganda around Marijuana that helped make it illegal in the first place, maybe it’s a part of undoing the history of systemic injustice that is being put on full display when you see white business owners opening pot shops left and right while brown people rot in jail for nonviolent drug offenses.
