Scott Wilson Thanks for the positive response. I’ve only been to the Louvre, but will definitely go to Musée d’Orsay next time. All the feedback I’ve heard about it was great. Scott Wilson after going to both, i found the Musee d’orsey to be a much better experience than the Louvre! And ignoring the McDonald’s and just walking on by wasn’t an option? I Hate It When Coworkers Act Like Supervisors Please Act Your Wage. I think the d’Orsay is more pleasant but the louvre, and not just for the Mona Lisa, is still a must see. They are each SO different.

Sadly I didn’t like the d’Orsay as much since the renovation. I can spend days in the Louvre. Did you see the Musée de l’Orangerie? Bliss. Pure bliss. Prefer Musee D’orsay to the Louvre. Think its because the Louvre is really too big and can be quite overwhelming. Plus as a layperson Im not too familiar with most of the works in the Louvre. Musee D’orsay has impressionist paintings which are more familiar to the layperson, and it also had excellent descriptions to guide you in looking and analysing the paintings. Kristin Bartell Heinrichs I went to the Louvre 25 years ago and the Mona Lisa experience was exactly like it is in this picture. I Hate It When Coworkers Act Like Supervisors Please Act Your Wage. Musee d’Orsay was much better then as well. Ronnie Elliott and Scott Wilson, thanks for the witty and refreshingly civil online interaction! Scott Wilson I’ve been to both and loved the incredible experience they both offer. The Louvre is breathtaking. It breathes history just standing there.
