Our critic Jason Farago says the Mona Lisa is a security hazard, an educational obstacle, and not even a satisfying bucket-list item. It’s time the Louvre moved it out of the way. I Can’t Let Go So I Remember I Have To Remember Because Memories Are All I Have Left Pillowcase. When I saw it, there was not a crowd like this in front of it. Maybe a handful of people. This is all a matter of opinion- to see or not to see. Im glad I saw it, and all the other wonderful pieces of art the Louvre has to offer. Kate L Walters agreed, and we experienced the same. The crowd was nothing like this when we arrived. Kate L Walters I was lucky enough to visit the Louvre in 1989 with my younger brother. We were in the gallery with the Mona Lisa and my brother went into another part of the museum, leaving me alone with all the sublime Da Vinci’s! Alone with the security cameras, of course.

Fabulous experience! When hubby and I saw it five years ago, the crowd was large. Everyone was taking selfies. I took one from afar, too. It was as close as we could get. I’m not sorry we got there, to see her. But, I do wonder if it was really worth the time. I own a poster of it that I’ve stood much closer to. When I was there, the crowd was huge. I zoomed my camera to the max to take a picture. The frame showed reflections of everyone else. It’s so much smaller in person than you’d expect. Thankfully the rest of the museum was pretty empty and there were plenty of other grand things to see. I wouldnt have missed anything except sweaty tourists if i’d skipped the mona lisa. I Can’t Let Go So I Remember I Have To Remember Because Memories Are All I Have Left Pillowcase. Skipped the Louvre. I liked Musee D’Orsay. It was very accessible and not crowded. I turned around when the first sight I saw after stepping off the metro was Mcdonalds.
