Deanna Lynne Deprez Medicaid is State run. They do get supplemented by Federal government, but each individual State sets their own rules. If the mother’s income is too high by her States criteria, they can refuse her Medicaid. Grinch I used to smile and then I drove the bus. What is not legal is refusal of treatment to a child in an ER/Hospital. HD Miller the only problem with your comment is the Feds are US, the tax payers. Why does no one realize this. Obama care made me lose my affordable health insurance and my doctor. I didn’t make enough in my state for a subsidy. Yes, that’s right, in states that did not take the 3 year funds from Federal government if you made under 11,000 a year, you didn’t make enough. Thus my premiums would have been $388 a month with NO coverage what so ever until I paid the 7,000 deductible each year. Do the math .

I didn’t make 11,000 a year for subsidies,, but it would cost me that to have health insurance. Further the Federal funding for states was for 3 years, leaving the states to then pick up the entire bill for a expensive, failing, socialist program. I had insurance thanks a bunch ACA for putting me out of receiving the care I needed. I know more that have suffered medically, financially from this program that was unconstitutional than not. Let me add to that that though a Senior by government scale I was not 62 yet and since Medicaid is state run, with the passing of ACA they raised the age for Medicaid in my state to 62. Grinch I used to smile and then I drove the bus. I was only one of 1000’s upon 1000’s left out in the dark. It was no blasted good for the majority and especially for those paying insane prices that were in good health to make up for those who weren’t. Forced many on welfare that if left alone with a simple law that insurance companies had to take pre existing at same rates would have taken care of everyone. Medicaid would have still existed for those who truly needed welfare.
