Oh my goodness I’m not surprised. I lived in Houston for a few years and the first New Year’s I heard all the sounds and thought it was fireworks and went outside looking for them, didn’t see any. Church Security. It wasn’t until the next morning I found out it was people shooting guns in the air.
Now that I’m back in Calgary I don’t hear any of that on New Year’s. Wow, that’s crazy and sad. Why would anyone shoot a gun to celebrate the new year? How about sticking with sparklers and a few firecrackers? My condolences to her loved ones. The woman’s family and friends were discharging fireworks when she “suddenly called out that she had been shot,” the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet. Unfortunately, it’s common in my neighborhood in Minneapolis. We intentionally avoid going outside about an hour before and after the new year for this very reason. Church Security. Why should gun’s be allowed in public at all in this Country, between that and alcohol and meth, THC with a little Fentanyl and heroin, how in the hell would anybody make a good decision. Guns, guns and more guns !!!! I don’t know if Texas knows this but you can celebrate with out guns !!! You can’t bring this women back !!! Truly sad ! I hate guns. I hate when people use them when it’s not necessary. I hope that poor lady rest in paradise. What a senseless death. Whatever your views on guns, can we at least agree that “celebratory gunfire” shouldn’t be a thing? Or does that make me some “radical leftist”?
